A woman traveling on Rt. 422 towards New Castle crossed over the center lane and hit a truck traveling the other direction. The woman was trapped for nearly an hour as Pulaski and Mahoning Township Firemen removed the roof of her vehicle to extricate her. Both air-ambulance services could not fly because of bad weather. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown by ground ambulance. Her condition was not immediately known. The truck driver was not hurt. The accident happened directly in front of the New Castle School of Trades. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
